Z plus security politicians list

Fame is good but only when you are safe and secure. Safety is a major issue of all things in our country. To ensure the same, we have five categories of security in our nation, namely, SPG, Z, X, Y and Z plus. The highest level of security is SPG. Below this, we have the z plus security which is provided by the National Security Guard(NSG) commandos of our nation. The VVIPs who have greater threats require greater and more rigorous security. Thus, they are guarded by the NSGs. One must have to be powerful and famous enough to be able to be included in this list. When we talk about power, the first ones to grab the seats are none other than our politicians. Only 17 individuals of India have managed to take the shield of z plus. Almost 551 NSG commandos are engaged in the protection of these VVIPs. The people with this security have 36 personnel protecting them round-the-clock. Some of the z plus security politicians that have managed to make up to this list are-

The Barak Obama of India as said by Newsweek who is a president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and also have been chief minister of Uttar Pradesh possess a Z plus security shield. Recently, she observed a scaling down of the personnel who were at her service which freed up almost 300 policemen. She had four bulletproof cars making up to 26 crore Rs. for security purposes alone. Right now, she has no post and no seats in the Lok Sabha, even after it she manages to keep herself secured by the black cats. As Mayawati is a politician, we need not think about the source of money to hire the commandos in this case. Do we?

Yogi Adityanath

He is the current chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and also a Hindu Monk. Foreseeing the threats caused to a person on such a position, the decision of providing z plus security to Yogi came into existence by the Home Minister. He earlier had Y security cover under which he was escorted with 2 or 3 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) commandos. Now the pages of his books have been turned as he is being observed by 36 commandos round-the-clock. Before Yogi, former CM of UP also had NSG security around him.

Arun Jaitley

The current finance minister of India and Minister of Corporate Affairs in the BJP is also a senior advocate at the Delhi High Court. The CISF has managed to handle the security for Jaitley since 2015 and about 60 commandos are at his service 24*7. Under the shield, he has an escort car, a pilot, and two PSOs (Personal Security Officers). Just like Yogi, Jaitley was also given a Y security earlier but due to high menace around, his security became hermetic and upgraded to z plus.

Farooq Abdullah

This former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir who have also served as the Union minister for New and Renewable Energy between 2009 and 2014 is a son of the then Sher-e-Kashmir i.e. Sheikh He was also appointed as the president of the National Conference when he was just a neophyte in the field of politics after his father died. Farooq’s son Omar Abdullah is also included in the list of politicians to have the NSG commandos securing them.

A person who had interest in politics and film industry at the same time became the chief minister of Tamil Nadu. She died on Dec 5 last year when she was 68. She became popular by the name of “amma” by the people of her state. At her position and status, she was being covered by a shield of 70 personnel with two DSPs. She also had twelve National Security Guards at her service round-the-clock around the convoy.

Rajnath Singh

A diverse person like Rajnath Ram Badan Singh has played a lot of roles in his political life. He basically belongs to the Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP) and was a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. Not only this, but he was also a cabinet minister and have served as the president of the BJP twice. Currently, he is the Home Minister. He earlier enjoyed the security from the NSGs but now an exceptional protocol is being followed for him. This protocol is called Advanced Security Liaison (ASL).

Parkash Singh Badal

The 88 years old Chief Minister of Punjab has been able to grab the minister status three times in the course of his life. The Badals are the state’s first ruling family because Parkash’s son and his son’s brother-in-law are also ministers of Punjab. Not only Parkash Badal, but his whole ruling family including the two – Deputy Minister and Revenue Minister also observes a Z plus security with black cats around them.

Ghulam Nabi Azad

He was a former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and was also the Minister of Health and Family Welfare. In August 2002, Nabi was incorporated as a member to be provided z plus security. His sort of security includes a bulletproof car, two PSOs and two escorts.

This list is continued with famous politicians like Mulayam Singh Yadav, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Assam CM Tarun Gogoi, LK Advani, and many more. The point to be noted is that it is not mandatory that these all politicians still do observe z plus security, but the certitude is that these have been z plus secured once in their lifetime.

Along with these all politicians, there are many others like the Prime Minister of our country, former Prime Minister, and immediate family members of the both who are provided not only with NSG cover but also with the highest tier of security that is SPG. SPG is a Special Protection Group which is made for providing securities to the most vulnerable person with respect to his/her position. No matter how much a common man ponders about the facts and concreteness of these high-level securities, the truth that lies behind this is that politicians with higher status do need a rigorous security to ensure their personal safety.

No matter how much a politician or other z plus secured people feel about their status and position in the community, but at the end of the day, everyone’s goal is simple - safety and security. A handful of those in the Z Plus category like current and former Prime Ministers also get an additional SPG coverage.
